Bev Chernos

091C

Bev Chernos lived on Robert Street during the 1930s and 40s, and her mother’s family lived in the area before that. She remembers crowded shared housing, local Jewish culture, and the nursery school at Knox Church, as well as the nuns from the Major Street convent.
